Q.Will the fact that I have had counselling with you go on my medical records or any other records?
A. No, we do not have links with any external organisations or statutory bodies.
Q. How often would I come for counselling?
A. Regular sessions, once a week are recommended.
Q. How long does a session last?
A. Between 50 and 60 minutes
Q. How do I know that you are reputable?
A. We follow the ethical guidelines of our regulating body, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. They are one of the regulating bodies that the statutory organisations recognise.
Q. Can I change my counsellor if I don’t feel I am benefiting from their style of counselling?
A. Yes, it is very important that you voice any concerns to your counsellor. How you get on with your therapist can be more important than the type of therapeutic approach. We encourage you to tell your counsellor and us of any concerns you may have.

A. People find ways of coping but that does not mean that their problems have gone away. Sometimes the coping strategies we all develop are no longer enough; they may seem to work for a while but if the problem is still there that is when different strategies have to be explored.

A. How do you know that? And if it is in the early stages why not tackle it before
it becomes a really big problem or too deep-
Q. How much would it cost?
A. The fee structure is £30 per session for an individual or £50 per session for a couple. The same fee structure applies for the initial consultation.
