CALM is funded entirely from donations from supporters, contributions from clients, fund-raising initiatives and grants for specific projects as project funders do not support our core services. We are pleased to announce that half of the funding for our counselling service for the next three years (commencing April 2007) will be coming from the Big Lottery The other 50% will be raised by us through fund-raising events such as those on the Events page and those listed below.

Legacies: Please remember the Counselling and Life Management Centre in your Will. Any amount can be given to registered charities and deducted from the estate free of Inheritance Tax. If you are considering leaving a gift to the CALM centre in your Will, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please contact our fundraiser on 01279 411330.

 A sponsored Abseil of a local water tower (110 feet)  A Barn Dance

 A Spanish-themed event of music, food, sangria and flamenco  A Quiz Night

 A sponsored climb of Mount Kilimanjaro  A sponsored runner in the London Marathon

Future Fundraising Events:

 A Charity Auction is being planned - the date is now likely to be 5th April 2008

 We are looking for volunteers to raise money for us in the abseil for 2008

 A quiz night - date to be arranged

 The Harlow Charity Car Park has been offered to us on 9th February 2008

Cntributions: If you are contributing and you are a taxpayer please make sure you complete a “Gift Aid Declaration”, as charities can claim 28p from the Inland revenue for every pound contributed.

Charity Wristbands: Our CALM Centre charity wristbands are only £1 each. For sale at the CALM Centre.
