The courses show how to identify and understand your reactions to situations and how the past can affect your self-respect and responses to people and events. If you are unhappy with your life, believe that you should be able to achieve more or be a 'better' person the Self-Esteem course will help you to look at your life in a clearer way. These are some of the questions they ask on the courses:

~ Do you drive yourself to do things in order to be a better person?
~ Do you criticise yourself for the things you do?
~ Do you sometimes see yourself repeating the same patterns at home, work or in relationships?
~ Do you do things because you have to rather than because you want to?
~ Are you successful and yet feel there is something missing?

With a combination of video and audio tapes, individual and group work, you will learn techniques which you can take away with you. The skills are practical and simple and there is no exam.

Bookings for the self esteem courses are arranged by telephoning the self-esteem coordinator, Colette Stevens, on 020 8505 0396. If you are greeted by the answer phone please leave a message and Colette will return your call as soon as possible. Colette will give you detailed information about the courses and answer any questions you may have.

Each course runs for six weeks, three hours each week and has a maximum of eight participants and two tutors. Courses are held in the Harlow area.

The Self-Esteem courses are run when there is funding available.

There are also private Self-Esteem Courses available. For details please contact Colette Stevens on the above number.
