Both a continuation from part 1, but also a stand alone .workshop exploring this confusing, difficult and often overwhelming phenomena. Erotic Transference is a shadowy area in working with vulnerable people. It is neglected in trainings and institutions but comes into the work far more than we like to acknowledge. How do we recognise developing erotic feelings between practitioner and client? Should we address them and if so how? What should we do and what is the potential impact of our response decision? How can we bring thinking into the feelings and make useful meaning of the erotic dynamic without jeopardising ourselves, our client or the work? Is it safe to and what is it like to sit with erotic feelings in the relationship? All these questions and more will be explored and discussed during the day with an aim to facilitate practitioners in more confidently working with this taboo subject.
A certificate of attendance will be provided. The certificate can be used towards accreditation and as proof of ongoing professional development as required by the BACP.
