'Countertransference; The Key': Many theorists and practitioners believe countertransference is the key to successful therapy. It is in our countertransferential responses that we allow the client to impact us, to make themselves and their experience fully present in the world, enabling them to feel heard and understood often for the first time. This workshop focuses on how to make our countertransferential process conscious and alleviate our own anxiety. We will explore how to analyse, metabolise and make meaning of our countertransference, enabling us to utilise it in developing the therapeutic relationship and work with our clients more effectively.
THE FACILITATOR
Claire Parlane is a member of BACP and has her own private psychotherapy and supervision practice in South East London. Additionally she works with organisations as a trainer, group facilitator and supervisor. Claire has been practising since 1996 and has extensive teaching and training experience.
A certificate of attendance will be provided. The certificate can be used towards accreditation and as proof of ongoing professional development as required by the BACP.
