This workshop is suitable for qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists,

‘Each of us confronts boundary issues on a daily basis. We can do or say something with the best intentions, certain or at least assuming that our words or actions were just what was needed, or what was helpful. We can sometimes be troubled after discovering that the path taken across a boundary has turned sour.’
The aim of the workshop is to:
Re-
Bring a deeper awareness to the understanding, contracting and implementation of boundaries and ethics within a counselling relationship.
Explore how to apply awareness in the context of private practice, agency settings and supervision.
To bring into conscious awareness an appreciation of the potential that boundary crossings have to affect clients and the therapy.
Some of the teaching methods will be:
Small group discussion and big group feedback
Demonstration of the language of positive and negative therapeutic dialogue
Exploration in groups of personal boundary challenges and ethical dilemma’s experienced in client work, supervision and agency procedures.
Date: Saturday March 3rd 2012
Place: The Red Room, Latton Bush Centre, Southern Way, Harlow
Time: Morning Registration: 9.45 a.m. for prompt start at 10 a.m.
Workshop: 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. ( tea breaks included )
Lunch: 12.30 until 1.30 p.m. Participants to bring a packed lunch.
End: 4 p.m. (evaluation requested )
Certificate of attendance to be provided for CPD
COST: £45: Payment required on booking.
Cancellations will be charged for at booking rate after Saturday 18th February 2012 Cancellations prior to this date will be charged 20% of booking fee.
